Studio Wrap-up Guide
End the Recording
Tap the record button on the RØDECaster once to stop recording, and then follow these steps to wrap-up your Recordical Studios session.
If you recorded to a laptop, tablet, or phone:
Safely eject the RØDECaster from your device, and only then should you unplug your USB-C cable from the RØDECaster.
If you recorded to a microSD card:
Tap the microSD icon on the RØDECaster screen, tap eject, and then push firmly on the card so that it pops out. It’s ready to be removed. Tip: Transfer the files to a secure drive immediately after your session to keep them safe.
If you recorded to an external hard drive:
Tap the microSD icon on the RØDECaster screen, tap eject, and only then unplug your cable from the RØDECaster. Tap the button for tips on backing up your files.
Reset Volume to Zero
Find the headphone amp nearest you and turn the knob on the left down all the way by rotating to the left. This allows the next Recordhead to set the safest and most comfortable volume for them. Encourage other participants to do the same.
Disinfect Surfaces
Use the disinfectant wipes provided to clean all surfaces you and your participants touched.
Disinfect Headphones
Use the disinfectant wipes provided to wipe down the band and cups of all headphones. Once cleaned, place your headphones back on the hooks attached to the table. Do not use wipes on any microphones or equipment.
Dispose of Wipes & Gather Your Belongings
Dispose of the wipes in the small trash can provided. Ensure you’ve collected all of your belongings before leaving and securely closing the door.
